Au Co Cruise

12.30 The VIP lounge awaits in Halong City as the Au Co Cruise pulls up to the harbour.

12.45 The cruise manager will hand you a drink upon embarking on the Au Co Cruise, also giving everyone an itinerary briefing as we set sail. 

13.00 A wonderful set menu lunch will be served in the sleek restaurant. Halong Bay’s impressive limestone karsts begin to glide by outside.

15.00 We will visit Cua Van Fishing Village via a kayak or a locally rowed sampan boat. The beauty and serenity of Cua Van and its wonderful surrounds earned it a place in Travel and Leisure magazine as one of the ‘16 most beautiful coastal destinations in the world’.

17.30 Return to the Au Co Cruise for happy hour at the bar, offering ‘buy one get one free’ on a range of drinks.

18.00 We will host a fun ‘Masterchef Competition’ on the top deck where, after a demonstration by our chefs, the best fruit carver and spring roll maker will win fabulous prizes.

19.30 As the ship docks in a tranquil inlet for the night, we lay out a beautiful dinner in the restaurant, lit handsomely against the dark of early evening outside.

21.00 There are many opportunities to relax on board after dinner. Maybe you would like to head to the bar for an evening of socialising, head out with the crew to try nighttime squid fishing, or retire to your cabin to relax with a book or a movie.

06.15 Hot beverages will be on offer in the early morning as we hold a revitalising Tai Chi session on the sundeck.

07.00 There will be a breakfast buffet laid out in the restaurant as we begin cruising to Tien Ong Cave, a fascinating example of Halong Bay’s early human habitation, with evidence existing from 10,000 years ago.

09.00 Take the last of your photos from the sundeck of the Au Co Cruise as she begins sailing back to the harbour.

09.45 You are invited to join our traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony onboard. This is an ancient tradition for sharing our most important of beverages.

10.45 We disembark the Au Co Cruise at Tuan Chau Harbour, signalling the end of your overnight stay in Halong Bay. Au Co Cruises thanks you greatly for choosing us as your Halong Bay tour operator, we very much hope to be able to serve you in the future.

12.45 After embarking on the Au Co Cruise, our cruise manager will offer you a welcome drink as they explain the itinerary to you. 

13.00 We begin sailing past the hundreds of rock forests as a set-menu lunch is served in the restaurant.

15.00 We will head out into Cua Van Fishing Village via a locally-rowed boat or a kayak. Cua Van’s pristine location amongst the limestone karsts and amid the gently swaying bay earned it a spot in Travel and Leisure magazine as one of the ‘16 most beautiful coastal destinations in the world’.

17.30 Happy hour with free snacks and ‘buy one get one free’ at the bar will be in effect when we get back to the Au Co Cruise.

18.00 Our ‘Masterchef Competition’ is a fun contest with a prize for the best attempt at fruit carving and Vietnamese spring roll preparation. This will take place on the top deck during sunset while the ship anchors down for the night

19.30 Enjoy a beautiful set menu dinner in the romantic restaurant as nighttime descends on Halong Bay. 

21.00 After dinner, you have the choice to relax with a movie or try moonlit squid fishing in a small boat with our crew.

06.15 Tai Chi upstairs will provide you with the necessary energy for the day as tea and coffee is served alongside.

07.00 A full breakfast will be served on the route to a local island, passing countless beautiful limestone spires offering many opportunities for photos.

09.00 Upon reaching the island, we visit its small village and tropical jungle. There are bicycles available to explore the life around this miniature commune and, weather permitting, we will do a short trek through the jungle to see the Halong Bay ecosystem in action.

10.30 Relax back on the Au Co Cruise until we enjoy a midday lunch on board.

13.00 Settle into a relaxing early afternoon on board the Au Co Cruise, snapping pictures and catching as many sun rays as possible.

15.00 Ho Ba Ham is the perfect area to go swimming and kayaking as well as sunbathing on the long, sandy beach. We will spend a few hours in this wonderful paradise.

17.30 ‘Buy one get one free’ is back on at the bar on the Au Co Cruise.

19.30 Dinner will be an outdoor barbecue affair this evening in order to properly appreciate the beauty of Halong Bay at dusk.

21.00 More movies are available in the cinema, or instead, you could opt for card games, board games or social drinks at the bar. 

06.15 Tea and coffee accompany the complimentary Tai Chi session on the sundeck; this is your final opportunity to soak up the atmosphere of a Halong Bay sunrise. 

07.00 Fill up on a breakfast buffet at the restaurant before we head to Tien Ong Cave. Here we will explore the fantastic rock formations and see evidence of human habitation in the cave over 10,000 years ago.

09.00 Upon getting back to the Au Co Cruise, we will check out and get our last snapshots of the scrolling Halong Bay scenery.

09.45 There will be a traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony performed on board, which you have the chance to participate in before we reach the harbour.
